Tickets
I buy a lot of concert tickets. I have a pile of like... 50 sitting on my desk. I just sort of go through upcoming, my friends blogs, tourfilter, ticketmaster, pollstar, and the clubs' websites once every couple of weeks and buy everything I see I want to go to. Then I send Judi a list and she chooses the ones she wants to go to, then I find people to go to the other ones.
What I don't do, however, is look at magazines or ads, and I don't really pay attention to seats. I just pick "best available." Imagine my surprise, then, when the other day I discovered that my tickets for Laurie Anderson tonight at the Boston Opera House - a beautiful restored building, are row AA. Wow. Unexpected bonus!
This will, however, make it pretty much impossible to sneak out for Thurston Moore's band that's opening for the Boredoms tonight. Ahh well. Giveth and taketh away.
